As per the schedule, today (22 May 2010) was the walk at Umngeni Valley! This time we made sure that we’d made arrangements so that we didn’t have to come back at 10 (incidentally by the time we started the walk it was already 9.45) and we had a great walk into the valley, enjoying the scenery and even surprisingly a little “bit of Tsitsikamma,” as Alex put it. We know that we’re really blessed to have such an amazing natural place with wildlife (of which we saw plenty) so close it isn’t on our doorstep, it’s hovering in the doorway! To think that God created the beauty we see at the Valley, but in comparison to what it was before the Fall this is a “rubbish heap”…imagine what it was like before!!
Alex managed to snap some pictures with his fancy DSLR (and nearly lose his glasses down the slope) so hopefully they’ll be coming your way soon…
Meanwhile, if you’re wondering what the Valley actually looks like, click this link for the previous walk we did, with photos!
