What Went Down–24 January 2010

Today we trekked back into the (cleaned) garage for another DVD session. For the benefit of the people who weren’t able to come last year for Andy Stanley’s Pause series we re-watched session 3 and had some indepth discussion afterwards. We also discussed some plans for the coming year, tactics and ideas for RRY.

NOTE: Since the youth is involved in the SNAC (Sunday Night at Church) service at the church, Sundays at 5:30pm, you might also like to attend this service, as we have a great worship service and meaningful discussion and sermons.

RRY Term Event Planner

Introducing the plan for what RRY will be up to in the 3rd school term! [Shaun was very proud of his creation, as this is formal now!]

To clarify some items:

1. “Music” – Alex proposed a “jam session” now and again where we all meet, and, with the instruments we can all play (piano, drums, guitar etc.) together in the garage! [that's where "garage band" comes from right?]
2. “Abseiling” – We will be planning to get some abseiling equipment and an instructor to go abseiling in Umgeni Valley. There might be a fee, so it’s fundraising time!
3. “DVD” – We’re going to settle around a TV for a session of  DVD watching; likely a biblestudy/inspirational title…watch this space…
4. “Umgeni Valley Walk” – We’ll likely head over to Umgeni Valley again for a relaxing walk in nature…we’ll keep you posted!
