Sorry everyone, I’ve been quite busy of late so I apologize for the back post…this one’s from last week!
Today was what could be called a different session of youth, but then in a good way
because we got to help the even younger population of the youth: the Sunday School, along with several orphans from the “Bridges Of Hope” orphanage in Lidgetton, who would join the Sunday School kids on what was Mother’s Day, to make goodies and cards for their mothers. (it was tragic though to think the orphans would be making goodies for mothers they don’t have.)
So that’s where our bunch came in, and we had a great time helping, colouring, wrapping and sticking with the little ones, who were really adorable. (see pictures) Also, as the day coincided with the giving of knitted jerseys to the orphans it really put a smile on our faces to see how these kids enjoyed making the cards and bath salts! (which was actually quite a potent mixture, and would make Mom’s skin “so soft she wouldn’t know what to do with herself”–Tam!;-))
Below is a gallery of some pictures of the session with the Sunday School kids plus the Bridges of Hope orphans; Alex’s ones are admittedly better (My excuse is his phone is better!) but these were the ones at hand:
